About trmn

trmn (pronounced "term-n") is a directory of CLI tools, TUI apps, and terminal emulators. The name? Every good domain with "terminal" in it was taken. trmn.sh was close enough, and .sh felt right for a site about shells.

I got tired of trying to remember which "awesome" list or Reddit thread I found a tool on, so I'm cataloging them all in one place. Problem solved.

Astero Engineering is a software engineering company that builds whatever sounds interesting. Custom websites, full-stack applications, hardware projects — we cast a wide net and have a good time doing it.

trmn is one of those "this would be cool to build" projects that turned into something people actually use. We're not a big company with a roadmap full of OKRs. We just like making things.
