Claude Squad

Terminal UI that runs multiple AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Aider) in parallel, each in its own tmux session and git worktree.

install

Claude Squad is a terminal app, installed as the cs binary, that manages multiple AI coding agents in separate workspaces. It supports Claude Code (the default), Codex, Gemini, and other local agents such as Aider. Each task runs in its own tmux session and its own git worktree on a separate branch, so parallel agents do not conflict with one another.

From a single TUI window you can create sessions (n, or N with a prompt), navigate between them, attach to one to reprompt it (↵/o, detach with ctrl-q), and kill it (D). A preview tab and a diff tab (switched with tab) let you review an agent's changes. c commits changes and pauses a session, r resumes it, and s commits and pushes the branch to GitHub. Tasks can run in the background, and an experimental -y/--autoyes flag auto-accepts prompts for Claude Code and Aider.

The agent is chosen with -p, for example cs -p "codex" or cs -p "aider --model ollama_chat/gemma3:1b". Configuration lives in ~/.claude-squad/config.json, and cs debug prints its path. The config supports named profiles, each pairing a name with a launch command. When more than one profile is defined, a picker appears at session creation. Other commands are reset, version, and completion. tmux and the GitHub CLI (gh) are required. The tool is aimed at developers who run several terminal agents on one repository at the same time.
