Maigret

Maigret is an OSINT tool that builds a dossier on a person from a username alone. It checks for accounts across about 5,900 supported sites and extracts available information from profile pages and site APIs, including links to other accounts. It needs no API keys. A default run checks the 500 highest-ranked sites by traffic. Pass -a to scan all sites, or --tags to narrow the scan by category or country.

It runs recursive searches using usernames and other IDs found during a scan. It detects and partially bypasses blocks, censorship and CAPTCHA. It can also check Tor and I2P websites and domains. On each run it fetches an auto-updated site database from GitHub (once per 24 hours) and uses the built-in database if offline.

Results can be saved as reports, including HTML, PDF (pip install 'maigret[pdf]') and XMind 8. A bundled web interface shows results as a graph and offers report downloads. An optional --ai mode produces a short investigation summary from the findings through an OpenAI-compatible API. Maigret can also be imported as a Python library to run searches programmatically.

It is aimed at OSINT investigators, analysts and security researchers. It runs from pip, a Snap package (amd64 and arm64), Docker images (CLI and web variants), or a standalone Windows executable. Cloud Shell, Replit, Colab and Binder options are also listed.
