Angular CLI
Command-line tool for creating, serving, scaffolding, and maintaining Angular applications and workspaces via the ng command.
Angular CLI is the official command-line interface for the Angular framework. It is used from a shell to initialize, develop, scaffold, and maintain Angular applications. The main entry point is the ng command: ng new [PROJECT NAME] creates a workspace and ng serve runs the application from inside the project directory.
The repository is a monorepo containing several packages. These include @angular/cli, @angular/build (the Angular build system), @angular/ssr for server-side rendering, and @angular-devkit/architect. It also holds @angular-devkit/schematics and @angular-devkit/schematics-cli, which power code generation, along with @schematics/angular and @angular/pwa schematics. Webpack-based packages (@angular-devkit/build-angular, @angular-devkit/build-webpack, @ngtools/webpack) are also included. @angular/create is listed as a separate package.
The tool is aimed at developers building Angular applications. It requires Node.js and npm. The README links to documentation on workspace configuration, project file structure, and schematics, and to an upgrade guide at update.angular.dev for moving projects between versions.
